Ensuring your edtech products are 1EdTech certified is the trusted way to realize the benefits of LTI Advantage and achieve a plug-and-play, future-ready digital learning ecosystem. 1EdTech certification is a benefit of 1EdTech membership.
What Does it Take to be LTI Advantage Certified?
For your product to get LTI Advantage Certified and listed in the 1EdTech Product Directory, it goes through a series of situational tests and verifies security operations. It’s easy to check your product using the LTI Reference Implementation. You can run the tests as many times as you need on as many products as you like—and you get 1EdTech staff support every step of the way!
A product that completes certification testing for core LTI 1.3 and all three LTI Advantage services is recognized as LTI Advantage Complete. This type of certification is required for learning platforms; it is available but not required for tools. A tool that passes testing for LTI 1.3 and at least one LTI Advantage service is considered LTI Advantage certified. Products with this designation may be working toward “complete” certification or do not support all of the feature services.
